Before I get into the “tricks” it’s important to note, NO trick will work if you aren’t handling the basics.
If you aren’t eating real foods, lifting heavy ass weights, and taking care of your body, you’re screwed no matter what you do.
But these things will help if you have the basics handled.
Not too long ago, I started putting on some extra weight.
Not the good kind that makes your shoulders look broader or biceps appear ‘bulgier’.
I’m talking about the kind of weight that sits around your waist and makes you look like one of those guys who paints his stomach at a tailgating party while chugging Bud Light.
The funny thing was, I was eating SUPER healthily.
I had a personal chef cooking me great meals, I exercised weekly, and I got plenty of sleep (more on that in a second). But I was still getting undeniably fat.
So I decided to change my approach.
I started making bulletproof coffee every morning and skipping breakfast.
Within 12 weeks, I’d lost more than 15 lbs. of fat and cut back down to my old fighting weight.
I didn’t work out more. I didn’t eat any differently. I didn’t cut out alcohol.
I simply skipped breakfast and ate all of my calories before 9 p.m.
It was simple, effective, and made me look and feel like $200,000.

For the next 14 days get AT LEAST 9 hours of sleep (10 is not too much if you train hard).
In all seriousness though, improving the quality and quantity of my sleep has, far and away, made the biggest difference on my health and productivity.
When I get enough sleep, I feel amazing, I perform like a champ, and generally have a happier and more positive outlook on life.
It’s important that you make sure you’re getting good sleep and not just enough sleep.
Here are a few ideas to help you out.
- Invest in a nice mattress and black out shades
- Turn the thermostat to 65
- Use a white noise machine
- Stop eating 3 hours before bed
- Drink 1 cup of kava tea with 1 TBSP of apple cider vinegar and 1 TBSP of raw organic honey
- Turn off all screens at least 90 minutes before bed.
- Supplement with 500 mg of magnesium, 100 mg of Zinc, and 150 mg of L-theanine.
Do this for 14 days and I promise you’ll never go back.

Stop taking it so darn seriously and have more fun.
