“I’m a really spiritual person” sets off alarm bells for me.
This answer demonstrates a deeper level of engagement through philosophy.
Spirituality is an alchemical slow burn. It is an activation that infuses the cellular structure to the core and ignites coding within the DNA that refines the energetic frequency of the body for the receiving of higher frequencies of knowledge. It is in application beyond mere speculation that spirituality sustains its power. The spiritual process is a transformation of very being who is thinking the thoughts. This is the difference. At the end of one year one is deeply changed. At the end of 20 years, their energetic capacity for broadened awareness and the detection of information beyond thought process involved with the information of the 5 senses is increased.
Philosophy is rearranging objectifiable concepts, solely to appease perception and what one can fathom at that point in time. Spirituality is turning the subject who objectifies the rearranging of concepts inside out. Concepts themselves have little to do with the process.
Religion without philosophy is sentiment, or sometimes fanaticism, while philosophy without religion is mental speculation.
BG 3.3, Purport: The same principle is more clearly explained in the 61st verse—that this buddhi-yoga is to depend entirely on the Supreme (or more specifically, on Kṛṣṇa), and in this way all the senses can be brought under control very easily. Therefore, both the yogas are interdependent, as religion and philosophy. Religion without philosophy is sentiment, or sometimes fanaticism, while philosophy without religion is mental speculation. The ultimate goal is Kṛṣṇa, because the philosophers who are also sincerely searching after the Absolute Truth come in the end to Kṛṣṇa consciousness. This is also stated in the Bhagavad-gītā. The whole process is to understand the real position of the self in relation to the Superself. The indirect process is philosophical speculation, by which, gradually, one may come to the point of Kṛṣṇa consciousness; and the other process is directly connecting everything with Kṛṣṇa in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Of these two, the path of Kṛṣṇa consciousness is better because it does not depend on purifying the senses by a philosophical process. Kṛṣṇa consciousness is itself the purifying process, and by the direct method of devotional service it is simultaneously easy and sublime.
Spirituality is the realization of your spirit while philosophy is one’s imagination of world. Many can debate on someone’s philosophy forever because its a subjective thesis. While spirituality is realization beyond words which is personal experience and only pointers can be used.
Everyone in the world can have different philosophy but spiritually all are spirits and realization of spirit is in spirituality
According to me philosophy exist until ego exist that of separate me and him/her. When Ego dissolves spirituality arises
For eg I can give a big lecture on philosophy but if I am not implementing it in my life than I am not a spiritual person
That’s usually considered a bad trait in modern philosophy.
